Hazrat Ameer Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim Saeed Pasha Sahib's Message for the Jamaat (Movement) for the Last Ten Blessed Days of Ramazan (13th November 2003):

  

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Surely We revealed it on the Night of Majesty – And what will make thee comprehend what the Night of Majesty is? The Night of Majesty is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend in it by the permission of their Lord — for every affair — Peace! it is till the rising of the morning. (The Holy Quran, Chapter 97)

My dear brothers and sisters of the Jama‘at ,

Assalaam-o-Alaikum Wa Rakhmatullahi Wa Barakaato Hoo.

We are entering into the Blessed Ten Nights of the Holy Month of Ramadan. The verses of the Holy Quran that I have quoted above tell us of the revelation of the Holy Book on the Night of Majesty. This is a night in which Allah permits all forces through which the regeneration of humanity is brought about to descend to the earth; it is the night of divine inspirations; it is one single night in the whole year in which all the angels descend and inspire the suppliants of Allah’s mercy; it is the night when Allah’s blessings and favours come down in showers; it is a night of spiritual glory and nearness to the Creator; it is a night for receiving of answers to your prayers; it is a night that is said to be better than a thousand months. This period of a thousand months is about 83 years, which is the average time that a man blessed with a long life lives to. So your prayers in this night if answered are worth the whole reformed and fruitful life that you will live.

As we pray in the nights ahead with special reference to the Night of Majesty or Laila-tul-Qadar for our families, properties, health and progress in life, may I please remind you not to forget the bigger family you are a part of, the Jama‘at [Movement] that you belong to. The Promised Messiah has created a household in which every member is striving to achieve a single goal – to attain nearness to Allah, spread the message of Islam into every home in the world and instil Quranic teachings into every heart. Please pray that every Ahmadi becomes a practicing Muslim and all Ahmadis become one in heart and soul to spread the message of Allah to mankind.

I would like to pass onto you a message that I have been asked to deliver to Ahmadis for the Holy Days and Nights ahead. It is a message to all of you from the first Ameer-i-Jama‘at, Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Ali Sahib (may he be blessed), who in a vision seen by Malik Saeed Ahmad (a revered member of the Jama‘at, now residing in Lahore, whose prayers are answered through visions by Allah) on the night of 8^th Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, has asked me to deliver it to you. Please carefully read and immediately act on this message as in it lies the solution to the problems that Ahmadis face in the present days.

Malik Saeed Sahib says:

"I have in a vision seen the first Ameer-i-Jama‘at, Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Ali (may he be blessed), the third Ameer-i-Jama‘at, Hazrat Dr. Saeed Ahmad Khan (may he be blessed), the fourth Ameer-i-Jama‘at, Hazrat Dr. Asghar Hamid (may he be blessed) sitting on a green, lofty mountain. I am surprised as to how I have come to such a high location. I advance towards these holy personalities and wish them salaam with extreme respect. These eminent spiritual personalities smilingly signal me to sit next to them. As soon as I get seated, Syed Asadullah Shah Sahib (a revered member of the Jama‘at who was blessed with true visions by Allah) also arrives and says that the purpose for which we have gathered is that you deliver our most important message to the present Ameer-i-Qaum [Head of the Movement].

"Then Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Ali Sahib (may he be blessed), addressing me says:

‘Saeed, you know the perilous upheaval our Jama‘at is facing; all over the world, all the religions and all the nations are bent upon the destruction of this tiny Jama‘at. In such circumstances we should become a unified force; we should abhor mutual hatred, jealousies, enmity and spread of hatred. We are too few and millions of people are taking advantage of our careless attitude. Because of their lack of knowledge they don’t like us. However, such a situation is not going to last long, Insha-Allah. The weaknesses and faults in the Jama‘at should cease in this very Blessed Month. Amongst us are some weak and some very weak, all are prey to various forms of weaknesses. Let all the adults of the Jama‘at, both men and women, as from today recite the Darud-i-Ibraheemi excessively remaining in a state of wuzdhu, and before the Eid-ul-Fitr modify themselves and forgive the excesses of one another and form unity amongst the Jama‘at members.

‘If you see any weakness in any brother or sister of the Jama‘at, forgo it and refrain from discussing it with others. Unite as an invincible force against all the adversaries. On the occasion of the last Friday of Ramadan ‘Juma-tul-Widah’ the Ameer’s sermon should cover this subject. And any member of the Jama‘at who has weaknesses with reference to the Jama‘at should be forgiven and all should resolve to become one.

‘Listen carefully, all those who are harming the Jama‘at. Cleanse your hearts of hatred and malaise; each one of you is precious for the Jama‘at. Let us today resolve to start anew as if no one has been at fault. Each one of us knows what is within his own heart; let us make a firm covenant today that in future we will not commit any mistakes. With a pure purpose and determination all of us should make a firm resolve that each individual will affect a great change in his own soul. May Allah Ta’ala give us the resolve and power to do so. Aameen.’ "

Dear brothers and sisters,

Let us seize this great God sent opportunity and ask forgiveness of Allah for our own weaknesses and sins; reform ourselves and save the Jama‘at. May Allah forgive us and help our Jama‘at and us to embark on this mujahida [struggle in Allah’s way].

I desire that this message should be widely disseminated to all Ahmadis and where possible read out in the next Friday congregation.
